HI I have an broadband connection which doed not need a modem to access, i get the CAT5 ethernet cable from the provider. In case if i use it directly on my PCall i have to do is provide username and password under PPPoE and internet works like a breeze.

Now i try to use this 3040 device to use as an wireless router so that i can access internet on multiple devices. Please help me configure this. I tried in all the three switch options provided with no result at all..

I am now using a traditional router from which i connect to Tplink 3g router and using wireless under Access point option...But i would like to use it directly as i can get battery back up so that even when there is no power i can still browse...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the steps. Go to 192.168.0.1 page of the router. Then go to Network-->Internet Access-->Change it to WAN only-->Save and reboot. Then connect the TP-LINK to the Cat 5 Ethernet cable form provider.
Connect the laptop through WIFI and then Go back to 192.168.0.1 page. Go to Network-->WAN-->WAN connection type PPPOE-->put in username and password form provider. Then you will get Internet from TP-LINK. :D

Yes - what you defined does work, the main problem i faced is in using the three switch provided, we have to keep it in 3g/4g mode to get this done. The printing on the device 3G/4G is mis-leading as it does not say the switch has to be at this position though you configure through the Ethernet wired connection.

Finally i got it working thanks a lot
