Model: TL-WPA7510 KIT
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: v1.0.0

Please consider adding the TL-WPA7510 KIT to the Tether app.

It would be useful in my scenario where I have an Archer A7, RE550, RE300 & TL-WPA7510 KIT on the same network so i could see them all in one place.

@Kevin_Z thank you. Any idea about the password issue? Can log on to the wpa 7517 via web browser ok, but via tether always shows wrong password, even when the password was actually set using the tether app!

@Degsy As far as I can confirm, the Powerline adapters or extenders are not compatible with the Tether app, so you cannot manage the powerline device via the Tether app, and that's why you cannot login to manage it.

However, this is still abnormal that you can find and see the powerline adapter on the Tether app, it seems the Tether app receives the TDP packages and responds to them. I cannot assure you now if this can be easily addressed or fixed by the powerline firmware update or Tether app update, I will suggest you manage the powerline adapter via tpPLC utility instead.

Good idea, but no guarantee now. We will keep an eye on this kind of feedback. Thank you.

Can I have the Tether app version and firmware version of the WPA7517? We will need to confirm.

Tether app ios version 3.4.44 TL-WPA7517 F/w 1.0 200219 42665n (6985/8575) Since rebooting the 7517, it does not popup in the tether app anymore

@Degsy

Except for the displayed Archer A7, RE550, RE300, are there any other extender or powerline adapter/extender in this network? Could it be possible that someone connected his extender to the A7's wireless network? The icon on the Tether app for TL-WPA7517 looks like the icon for a range extender.

This case will be escalated to the tech support engineers for further investigation, please check the email follow-up, thanks.

No other extenders on the network. The RE300 has been removed now. I have noticed issues logging in to the RE550 from the Tether app - it seems to take a few tries sometimes, but loading via the IP address loads fine every time.

Any update on this yet? Do not know if it’s related, but I can no longer use the Tether app with the RE550. It complains that the login failed due to either being on a guest network, being limited by parental controls or that the network maybe unstable. All of which are not true.

@Kevin_Z Yes, but they only said they would pass it on to the relevant dept, and that was quite a while ago.
