Archer C6 2.4GHz connectivity/performance issue
Hi there,
I have an Archer C6, v2, 1.3.6 Build 20200902 rel.65591(4555). I'm connecting to the internet via an ISP modem, PPPoE. I'm in the EU, so I guess it's a European model.
Since the 20th of January, I'm experiencing some intermittent issues with my internet connection. Today had time to take a look at it, so I just run some ping tests. What I saw, was exactly, what experienced: there was an interruption in the connection.
After this, phoned the ISP, who informed me, that everything is ok from their side. Performed another ping test, this time connected directly to the ISP's modem via a network cable. The ping test was running for an hour, approximately - 0% loss (screenshot attached).
If I switch to the 5GHz network, it's not perfect, but much much better. The problem is, that we live in a quite big house (long), with thick walls and the 5GHz cannot cover it.
Any tips? Should I upgrade to the Beta firmware mentioned here?
What I already tried:
- restart my router, several times
- reset the router, set up the network again
- check with the ISP, if the issue is on their side
- connect to the router from multiple devices, check if the issue is present (MacBook, ThinkPad with Windows, iPhone, Motorola Android phone, Samsung/Philips smart tv, etc)
