MR600 (EU) is V2 'better' than V1?
I want to get a 4G router and TP Link have been recommended to me by a friend. For future-proofing, I think the MR600 would be a good choice due to the higher 4G/LTE speeds it seems to support.
It looks like I can get a V1 version for significantly less money than a V2 version? Is it worth trying to get the V2 version or can the V1 do all the same things, perhaps with a beta firmware?

e.g. This poster claims, "The V2 offers some hardware improvements that a V1 will not get via a software update."

But is that correct? I have not been able to find any info elsewhere to conclusively confirm either way.

@bigbayer I think you should wait for MR500, else MR600 V2 is basically better then V1 in my opinion..

Hello @Namann1
Interesting. What does the MR500 have that the MR600 v2 doesn't apart from "newer"? The specs look the same to me.
I have the MR600 V2 with an external aerial. I'm always open to "swap that for this and you'll get much better speeds".

Your post reminded me that I posted in a different thread on this subject. But unfortunately I didn't get any answers yet:
