Model: TL-MR6400
Hardware Version: V7
Firmware Version: multiple versions

Good day

My name is Waldo working for a Tech company.

Summary of the issue:

Wan1 Goes down> phones fails over to Wan2 traffic

Later Wan1 regains connection> but phones does not reroute to Wan1, before we disable the port of TP-Link router and restart the phones.

Network Diagram:

Indepth network info:

We have over 40 sites with the same setup.

Meraki firewall Which has connections to a primary WAN1 (multiple supplier - multiple devices)

Then it has a failover to the TP-Link router TL-MR6400 (mutiple hardware and firmware versions) - WAN2

Both WAN's is also connected to the Unifi controler.

Then the phones is connected to the Unifi.

Why TP-Link?

We have connected the phones, straight to the Meraki and it did not happen.

Some new sites has a Unifi USG (4.4.56.5449062) instead of Meraki and is getting the same.

Phones being rebooted manually with TP-Link disconnected fixes the issue as well.

Network equipment:
Meraki Firewall (MX64)

Unifi controler 6.5.55

Phones - Yealink W60B and Sip-T43U

TP-Link - Uses multiple different 4G/5G/LTE providers.

First time Poster here, so hit me with that additional info Needed.

Thank you in advise for any advise you have.

Regards,

Waldo

  @WaldoKing

Hi, sorry for that I am still confused about the network diagram, could you please mark WAN or LAN port for each device?

And the TP-Link router MR6400 works on 3G/4G Router mode or Wireless Router mode? if it works on Wireless Router mode, is 3G/4G backup enabled and SIM card inserted as well?

Based on the summary of the issue, do you mean the Meraki has two WAN ports and uses link backup feature? WAN port 2 of Meraki is connected to LAN port of TP-Link router?

And how about the Unifi controller and Unify WAPs? what are they used for?
