Model: TL-WR840N
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: 0.9.1 4.17 v0001.0 Build 201124 Rel.64328n

Ive set up my guest network on my router (sorry in advance, my router model is TL-WR840N, i couldnt find it in the models option so i picked a random router model) ( i used it as an access point), i dont want the auto schedule and prefers the timeout option.

i set it to 1 hour and 0 minutes. it appears to work but somehow, when the time's up, not just the guess network, but the wireless wlan got cut off too!!

it was very unpleasant and anoyying, we all have to reconnect to the AP after that.

and the worst part is that i think after the time's out, the guest network timeout will automatically resets to 0 hour and 0 minutes meaning i have to set it up again if i want the timeout to work. which is a tedious thing to do, i would prefer that the guest network actually work as a separate network and the timeout is kept automatically at 1 hour and 0 minutes forever. meaning each time my guest connects to the wifi they will get a 1 hour timeout any time, any day.

@spierdalaj

Do you mean the WR840N is working as an Access Point? When changing it to Access Point mode, are you able to modify the Guest Network settings? Can I have the screenshot?

As per your description, both the main wifi and guest wifi stop working when the time is up, does this mean you no longer see both signals? How did you recover the connection?

What if you switch the WR840N to Router mode, will the guest network and main wifi work as expected?

Regarding the Wireless Schedule for the Guest Network, be sure that it is the Access Time, which means you can only connect to the Guest Network in the scheduled time period.
