Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.4 Build 20210719 rel.12163(5553)

Hello everyone,

I have two questions,

  • While trying to update the firmware for AX6000_V1 (Hardware version V1) to the latest available on the Archer AX6000(EU)_V1_211208, the latest firmware filename is "ax6000v1-up-ver1-2-5-P1[20211208-rel49262]_nosign_2021-12-10_17.49.39.bin" . Its odd to see 'nosign' mentioned in the filename, is this firmware update safe to use?
  • In an earlier post its mentioned that AX6000 V1 and V2 are similar. But, I wanted to know if AX6000_V2 firmware is backward compatible with AX6000_V1.

Thanks.

You can go ahead and update with the FW for Archer AX6000 HW v1, which you mentioned.

You can't use a FW for a different HW version than yours, the HW versions have to match, otherwise you'll get an error message.

If this was helpful click once on the arrow pointing upward. If this solves your issue, click once the star to mark it as a "Recommended Solution".
