Hi,

I am trying to setup my TP-Link WR 840N as range extender. Upon logging in to setup I dont see opration mode as an option. I tried to reset it and login agian but still not showing the option. Attaching the login screen page details

In old HW version of WR840N the operation mode hasn't been implemented yet.

Instead you can use the WDS feature to do the same - here's a guide.
