hello i would like use 3/4G as backup.

i have configuration:

device which change optical fibre to LAN (Name A)  from  internet provider  (name A )

Router From Internet Provider (Name B)

MR200 with SIM 4G ( Name C) and WAN is connected to  router (B)

i do first test:

connect laptop to to MR200 (C)

and do ping to google.com -t

ping response (via WAN / IPS internet)

then i disconnect cable from WAN port and MR200 (C) and device swich to 3G internet

test done evrything ok.

second test:

connect laptop to to MR200 (C)

and do ping to google.com -t

ping response (ping response (via WAN / IPS internet)

then i disabled device (A)

device B still working, but do note have internet

MR200 (C) do not swiching to internet 3G internet

its look like when MR200 have UP port WAN - device still think that internet is from WAN and do not swich to 4g internet

is it posible to change that MR200 should check F.E. ping to google ? and when ping is not responding then swich to 3G ?

I have version V1 / maybe next version have this options ?

or maybe i should use diffrent router model ?

Regards

  @Pinks

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

The latest hardware version MR200 V5.20 has opmitized the 3G/4G backup, which supports two kinds of offline detection under 3G/4G backup: Single Detection and Dual Detection. For duel detection, you could set a ping such as ping 8.8.8.8 etc. to monitor internet status, if necessary, you could consider to purchase the latest V5.20 version.
