Hi, I have a TL-ER7206 V1 on Firmware 1.2.0

We are getting random dropouts on the router and suspect its NOT the router, but wanted to get on the latest firmware as part of troubleshooting.

In our Omada Cloud, next to the ER7206 v1.0  device, it says. Version 1.2.0 "upgrade available"

However looking here to check, https://www.tp-link.com/au/support/download/tl-er7206/#Firmware

It shows ER7206(UN)_V1_1.2.0 Build 20220117 is the latest, which is what we are on.

Any ideas?  This is a production system, so I don't want to just upgrade to see what happens ?

  @Calvin_b The firmware v1.2.1 has been released for ER605 & ER7206 on June 15, 2022

 

I don't think the new firmware is related to the dropping issue. Is there any warning/alert you can see on the Controller Log?

Hi @Somnus - we have eliminated the router being the cause of this (another router, same issue).

No, nothing in the log other than the error.... "[WAN] of Gateway Router ER7206 is down". . 

I might hold off on any upgrades until we get a stable connection.
