I was wondering if there was anyway to connect my ethernet cable to my Xbox One 1? When I connected it the first time, the xbox was unable to detect it was on a wired connection. Please help!

Yes but the Extender needed to be connected to your router first. Once the Extender is configured and linked to the router the Ethernet port should be detected by the Xbox and an IP address assigned.
