Archer MR600 4G+ Router Not Getting Network Signal
Archer MR600 4G+ Router purchased on Jan 2022 has of late developed issues of not getting any network signal. (Shows status 'No service') while the same Vodafone Idea SIM (Bangalore, India) works properly in the mobile phone with full signal strength and 4G speeds. SIM status is fine in the diagnostics test. Had 2 or 3 sessions with TP-Link Service personnel over phone and did the following steps multiple times:
- Removed the SIM card , reinserted; tried with another working SIM of same network
- Reset the router, created new Profile in the Modem webpage as mandated for Vodafone Karnataka, done Quick Setup.. Ends in error asking to reconfig the profile, all combinations fail to kick start the network.
- Switched the antennae, searched for the best location in the house for signal (inside, outside on terrace - nearby tower is around 500 meters away) and tried to get the signal in router, no network found
- Tried Automatic and Manual network search , no network found.
Any pointers ? Should I ask for a replacement ?

Hi, sorry to hear that the problem happens again, when it happened last time, after Vodafone service recovered, did you reboot the MR600 to see if it could connect internet again after a reboot?
In addition, please try to update to the firmware below and monitor if it will work better and reconnect to internet when Vodafone service recovers:

If you can, check the logs on your MR600, they might tell what's going on

Hi, was the MR600 working fine with the same Vodafone Idea SIM card? and if you have any other SIM card from different ISP, you could also have a try.
In addition, when you insert the same Vodafone Idea SIM card into your phone, please check the 4G band as well on the phone, then we could check if it is also supported by the MR600.
For android phone, you could install LTE Discovery App or LTE Cell Info: Network Status App etc. to check the network type and band.
For iPhone, please type *3001#12345#* into the area you normally use to input a phone number and press call. You will enter Field Test mode, and you should see the Freq Band Indicator or EARFCN or UARFCN number.
In addition, what is the hardware and firmware version of your MR600? if problem still exists, please also share with us a screenshot of Advanced->Status page and system log file.

Thanks for your responses. Device was working quite fine till it failed to capture the network all of a sudden. Good news is that today I switched it on the morning, lo the network was back !!! Dont know what magic did the trick !!!😂
Shall wait to see if the incident repeats, hopefully not again

Unfortunately the problem is back again today after a brief network disruption from Vodafone. I find the issue is that the router is not able to join back to 4G network / band after such network service disruptions. Probably trying to login in 3G mode, so I tried changing the network type to '4G Only' but it did not help.
Also tried Manual Network search and surprisingly it does not show the Vodafone network at all (same SIM works fine when inserted in mobile with full 4G VoLTE signal and speeds upto 40 Mbps).
Funny thing is, router finds the network back on its own after an unpredictable time lapse without us doing anything !!!

Rebooting was tried many times, not helping.
As suggested by you, downloaded the beta firmware and upgraded to it. But it didn't help either, after the upgrade and rebooting the same problem persists.
Firmware Version:
1.7.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 220406 Rel.40553n_Beta

had exactly the same problem. Beta resolved at least the issue with regard to the LTE connection on the Telekom network in Germany.
On a side note, the beta seems to create some problems with the reception between Lte and Lte plus. It's constantly changing as you can see from the log.

I was observing the results after installing the beta firmware that you suggested. Initially it did not make any difference, but I took my router to an area where the carrier (Vodafone Idea) signal was quite strong and lo the router picked up the signal automatically !!. Since then it has been working without any hitch for two weeks now. I have also setup an external unidirectional 12 db antenna and the combination of beta firmware with the external antenna is giving a very stable and fast 4G connection.
Thanks again for the help.
