Is it possible to use my Archer A6 as a wifi extender for my Archer AX1500? The upstairs internet signal is terrible.

Archer A6 should support WDS feature under Advanced=>System Tools=>System parameters.

You can try to use this feature to connect to AX1500 and extend your wireless coverage - here's the guide.
