Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210914 Rel.59719n

According to the specification page archer mr600 V2 supports B3+B38 CA. But in no way I setup it, it doesn't aggregate bands on Wind3 operator (Italy). Is B3+B38 really supported? If so, with which operators?

Hi, the MR600 V2 indeed supports B3+B38 CA, but whether and how the bands aggregating is related to base station as well, we are unable to force it to work on a specific band conbinations, it is recommended to compare it with another LTE CAT6 product with the same SIM at same location to see if it works on B3+B38.

By the way, is the network type working on your MR600 4G LTE or 4G+? is there any difference when using auto band and manual band?

@Sunshine I understand. I know for sure the base station does 4g+ (CA), in fact any other band couple does work (1+7, 3+7, 1+3, 1+20, 3+20, 7+20), and also my smartphone on the same base does 3CA (1+3+7 or other combinations). The auto connection does most 7+3 or 7+1. I'll try with another modem or my smartphone to see if effectively the base station lets aggregate the 38 band with something else, hoping I can see it because on the other modem I have and the smartphone I can't force any selection, I bought the mr600 mostly because of band selection

@Sunshine so I couldn't get B3+B38 with other devices, probably it's the base station.

Could I ask then if could be implemented a sort of schedule on which time band should be changed? (From one hour to another hour). Because B38 is great for download but not upload (it's a TDD band) but through the day I need upload too.

On late afternoon instead, when other bands are full and speed on B1/B3/B7 decreases significantly because of the people connected, I could set B38 and have great download for watching Netflix

@Sunshine a little update on this. I checked around with my smartphone, and a site that lists bands per antenna. It seems that B3 and B38 can't aggregate because the mr600 sees two antennas that are close enough to show up both bands, but obviously those are not aggreegable because on different locations. I would like two things that should be here in software:

1) the possibility to see the number of the antenna like any smartphone app LTE analizer could do, so that one knows at which antenna is currently connected (also few modem/router can do this as well, for example mikrotik ones)

2) the possibility to choose the primary band. It's great you can aggregate bands, but aggregation works only for download (at least in Italy). Should be possible to the end user to choose the best band to have a good upload and after choose another band to aggregate to boost the download (again, few routers permit this like mikrotiks). Also is indeed possible to choose the primary band with some tricks on the mr600: you first choose a band, and after redo the scan and add the second band. Most of the time - although not always - the router chooses to use as primary that previously selected. Instead of giving headaches to people just implement this little feature 🙏🏻
