Archer MR500
Noticed that a new MR500 4G+ Cat6 AC1200 is being advertised as 'coming soon' on the TP-Link India website.
What's different with this router compared to the Archer MR600?
I have a MR600 and need to buy another one but am wondering whether the MR500 will have any improvements compared to the MR600.
From the specifications, I'm not able to tell.
Any thoughts or comments?
Thanks.

Hi,what is the hardware version of your current MR600? V1 or V2?
Compared to MR600(EU) V2, MR500(EU) V1 has two main changes in the hardware.
-
Changed the SIM card slot to a Nano SIM card slot, so there is no SIM card adapter in the package anymore.
-
Optimized the design of the external LTE antenna, the external antennas look different from the MR600, however, the external antennas are still detachable.
In software, MR500 V1 doesn't support WPA3 wireless security now and other functions of Archer MR500(EU) V1 are the same as that of Archer MR600(EU) V2 including manual LTE band selection, OneMesh, and TP-Link Cloud management, etc.
Note: Same as MR600 V2, MR500 V1 doesn't support IPSec VPN yet.

Thanks, don't think it makes much sense to purchase another MR600 or MR500 at this stage. My MR600's hardware version is v2.
Just wondering whether TP-link is working on a 5G router for the Indian market? If so, when is this expected to launch?

Hi, we do have a 5G device now which is Deco X80-5G, for more information about it, please refer to the following post:

However, the availability is based on regions and please keep attention to the local official websites. And there might be some official distributors listed on the official websites(https://www.tp-link.com/where-to-buy/ ). It is also suggested to contact them for more details about sales information.

Good morning.
Please can you give me some help?
1) I'm undecided whether to buy MR600 V2 or MR500 V1. They cost the same.
It seems to me that the MR500 has better reception sensitivity.
I'm wrong?
2) Do you think an external antenna like the one in the photo is good to improve the data rate?
Thanks
