A core solution that I thought would've been implemented from the start. My house is very old with very thick walls and because of this true mesh-compability between the extenders (extender->extender and not just between router->extender) is neccesary!

Just do it. It should be there for at least 2 years. Company like TP-Link should understand what mesh topology mean

RE:Daisy chain OneMesh WiFi extender
Saturday - last edited Saturday

I'm in the same situation. Just bought 3 RE700X extenders, only to find out that they all connect to my router and not to each other. Jesus Christ! This is not how an OneMesh network supposed to work. If the router is not placed in the middle of the extenders, then good luck making the onemesh work.

Also, I just found this on their official onemesh page:

"Q4: How to set up a mesh network when there are more than two repeaters joining into the network?

A4: Generally we suggest connecting all the repeaters to the router for better performance. Customers can also connect one repeater to another repeater which already gets connected to the router, however we don’t recommend you to add more than two repeaters to one single link chain in consideration of the Wi-Fi quality."

So this is a lie or? The extenders in an onemesh network don't connect to each other...
