I recently purchased an Archer A7 and replaced my Linksys WRT1900AC for no reason other than I wanted to try out the Archer A7. I noticed immediately that I only get about 1/2 the 5ghz speed wth the Archer A7 when testing using my phone and connecting to the Archer. To make sure, I put the Linksys back in place temporarily and sure enough I get the full 300Mbps rated by my ISP. I have looked through the settings to see what is different and maybe I am just missing it. Is there a particular setting that would cause this?

Hi,

In case you have QoS enabled on the Archer A7 then make sure it is configured properly or switch it off altogether.

It may also be beneficial to fix the "Channel Width" of the 5 GHz wireless radio to 80 MHz, because if left on "Auto" the router might switch to a lower value. (this setting is located under "Advanced" -> "Wireless" -> "Wireless settings")
