What's the model number of the TP-Link router? Is there an LED for the 2.4G network on its front board? Is it on?
If it is on, the 2.4G network should be enabled correctly, you can log into its web page to confirm that. You can also try changing the 2.4G wireless channel to 1/6/11, then reboot the router to check if you can find the network.
