X60 new firmware when?
X60 new firmware when?
I just replaced my M5 system with a new x60 system. The M5 recently had a firmware update 1.6.1 which added a few custom features. I was surprised to see with the x60, that those have yet to be added. The X60 firmware hasn't been updated in since feb 2021, which is now 1.5 years old.
When will the X60 get an update that will add in the funtions to the Deco 3.0 app that the M5 has?
I'm seriously looking at returning the x60 as it doesn't provide any speed or function increase over the M5 in my network.

@brew99 I ended up buying some second hand x55s for the extra utility the beta firmware brings.
I was going to sell the X60s but decided to keep them and see if they get a firmware update. Having said that there isn't a great deal of difference between the x60 and x55.

I hope I don't have to sell my existing X60 for X50/55 for the new beta firmware.
The manual signal source selection feature is sorely needed to improve the mesh performance in certain environment, especially for the X lineup.

Come on, TP-Link! Show some love to the Deco X60 (V2 at least) and post a newer firmware for it (even beta!), with all of those goodies advertised in the newer firmwares of the other Decos.

The same question from me. The latest firmware version for my X60 v2 is 1.5.1 from 04/02/2021. It's almost 2 YEARS OLD!!!
Deco M4, when I sold it had some custom features, that are still not present in the more powerful and more expensive device.
Is there any expected date for the new updates?

@Nick2019 Yes please update the firmware TP-LINK, I need to set up Open VPN / Wireguard instead of the ancient L2TP / PPTP!

V3 is getting another update. See post by David-TP today.
David-TP and TP-Link. Should be more clear. If V1 and V2 are not capable of the firmware updates and new functions
just say so. Instead of saying it is being worked on.
I used to be a fan on TP-Link products but this is something i will take in account when i am changing my systems.

I agree with @Sideburn. I don't understand the update policy. The device is not end to life, but update don't come out. What about security patches? It's ridiculous.
