Hi, the MR6400 doesn't support bridge mode or extender mode, it needs to use either SIM card or Ethernet connection as internet source.

Hi, may I have the network topology that you would like to achieve?

Except for the MR6400, what else do you have? And what is the internet source?

@mario66 We have 6 solar benches with these model of routers TL-MR6400(EU) wireless router. The benches need to connect to the present wifi. I need to connect every router to the present wifi system in this public area. The routers came already installed in the solar benches, so there is no way we can replace them. The only option i see is to get a device that could connect to the present wifi and i connect via RJ45 to our TL-MR6400(EU) wireless routers inside the benches.

Your guidance is much appreciated.

Hi, thank you very much for the detailed reply.

Yes, if you could get another device which could connect to the present WiFi and provide Ethernet connection, the MR6400 will be able to connect that Ethernet connection for internet access, you could change the operation mode of MR6400 from 3G/4G Router mode to Wireless Router mode.

Hi, does the present Wi-Fi require web portal authentication? Or just a wireless password?

If no web portal authentication required, you could consider to purchase TL-WR902AC or TL-MR3020, they are both portable devices and powered by USB.

The TL-WR902AC and MR3020 support multiple working modes, and in your case, you could use Client mode which is to connect existing Wi-Fi and provide Ethernet connection only.
