I' m trying to reset my router but the reset button doesn't do the work as it apparently has been configurated by an operator, probably with "Agile" to keep an specific configuration. Does anyone know how to reset that configuration?

To clarify, I can enter to the configuration and could change the settings but seems to be a lot of changes and want to be rid off all of them.

I read that there is a procedure but wasn't able to find it on line.

Regarding the telnet issue.

 

In Windows 10 just type "telnet" in the search box, then click on "Turn Windows features on or off" within the search results. In the new window that pops up scroll down until you see "Telnet Client", select the check box next to it and then click [OK].

The reason for this behavior is that the Archer C5 v4 FW is specifically built for ISPs.

So if you reset the router using the reset button or the router's WebGUI, result would be the same every time.

Your TP-Link local support would be a good option for assistance regarding this case.

Thank you  @terziyski , but at least in Argentina those routers are sold to final customers. I've contacted the local tp link support area and they come up with a solution but it didn't worked in my router. The solution was to type "192.168.1.1/agileconfigreset" in the explorer. But I said, the response was "403 Forbidden" and there was no reset. 

The  local tplink support also suggest to run the "telnet" command from the Windows cmd line, within 10 minutes after turning on the router. But the command was not recognized by windows. 

Any other idea?

Well,  based on the "403 Forbidden" response, I would suggest that "192.168.1.1/agileconfigreset" should be executed after you already have logged in into the router's WebGUI with its credentials. If this still doesn't work in your case, then you should get back to TP-Link support and ask them for a stock FW version, which you could install on the router.
