Hello there.

 

Last week my Archer AX73 has arrived and I'm doing a few tests on it. The major one is the speed test of my Wi-Fi using 5Ghz band with 160mhz channel width option enabled. Smart Connect function is disabled. 

 

My ISP plan is of 1Gbps Fiber and My Wi-Fi card is an Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX210 160MHz. Well, a lot of speed tests of this Router over Youtube says he can gets At Least 600Mb using Wi-Fi 6 on 5GHz band. However, I'm getting only 350 Mbps.

 

**PS:

- My Internet Connection Type is Pppoe

- Using LAN Gigabit port max speed is ~ 700Mbps

- My Modem (GPON - ONU) is a TP-Link TX-6610

 

BIG Question is: Should I consider my Router malfunctioning?

The problem was my GPON ONU stuff (Tp-link TX-6610). Somehow it was limiting my Router's speed at 5g. Changed for one Easy4Link ONT E4L-H5410WA, configured in Bridge Mode. Now everything is working as it should.

Have you ever had a chance to test the 5G speed on another Wi-Fi 6 device? There seems to be a newer driver for the Intel AX210 adapter, you can update the driver, then test to confirm the speed again:

If no change, can I know the 5G channel on the AX73? You may try to change it to one that is less congested with others, then test the speed again.

 

Can you also post a screenshot of the 5G wireless settings on the AX73?
