2 Questions about AP mode:

 

1. Should the connection to the main router be made through the WAN port?

 

2. Will the LAN ports act as a switch in AP mode?

1. In case the router has a dedicated operation mode 'Access Point' (like AX4400) - Yes.

2. Yes
