modem UI times out

I have an AX1800 router connected via the WAN port to my Motorola MB8611 cable modem. All of my devices connect either wirelessly to the router or are connected directly to the router LAN ports or are connected via switches that connect to the LAN port on the router. I can access the web-based UI (192.168.0.1) of the router from my laptop (192.168.0.128) but am unable to access the modem's UI (192.168.100.1) - the webpage times out. The router DHCP Server LAN pool is set to 192.168.0.100-249. If I connect the laptop directly to the modem I can log into the modem UI but obviously that disconnects all the other devices connected to the router. How can I access the modem UI from behind the router?
Your router doesn't know about the 192.168.100.0/24 network. You can add a static route like this:
and test if you can access your modem's WebGUI.
