I have a network made of a router feeding a PA4010 which then connects to four WPA4220 and another PA4010 to distribute WiFi and internet throughout the house.

 

The ISP has recently upgraded my network from a 100Mbps connection to a 300Mbps connection, but after the upgrade I realized that all of these devices only have 10/100 ports. In fact, I am measuring 302Mbps when connected directly to the router (via ethernet or WiFi), but only 94Mbps on any powerline device (wired or WiFi).

 

Therefore to unlock all the speed available throughout the house, it seems I need to upgrade some of the powerline devices with ones that have a gigabit port. I have identified the TL-WPA7517 KIT as the potential solution.

 

I have some questions -

 

1. If I replace the first PA4010 with a PA7017 would it be able to communicate with all the WPA4220s on my network?

2. Would I then be able to get a transfer rate 300Mbps over wifi at any of my WPA4220s?

3. Can the above be combined with a WPA7517, and would I get 300Mbps over LAN on the WPA7517?

4. Can I easily pair it and keep my existing WiFi settings and have the WiFi move function work (to copy wifi settings from the other devices)?

 

Obviously I know the speeds are approximate and subject to power cable quality, I just mean in theory for now. I'd be happy with anything over 150Mbps.
