Good afternoon

My home network is 192.168.0.0/24 network.

When I switch S4 to Access Point mode it works ok, but when my local DHCP server goes down, access points enable 

"emergency" DHCP server in .68 subnet which makes things worse, and when my local DHCP is back online then two DHCPs collide.

Can you please update firmware to disable this insane "smart" smarttip bloatware function?

In Access Point mode the DHCP server is disabled, and wont be supported.    If you are getting a DHCP via Deco, then it must be Router mode somewhere.

 

There is no emergency DHCP server in Deco so I can only guess something is wrong in your config.  

 

My first reaction however is why is your DHCP failing, better to address that issue first.

Ah there you go, didnt know it existed so stand corrected, though I dont have DHCP issues so likely never seen it.  

 

It would make more sense to sort out your DHCP than to wait for firmware changes, least that is something you have control over.
