tp-link 4g router does not recognize sim card
Hi,
my router does not recognize my sim card.
I've tried two different ones from different cell phones.
Both cards are standard issue 4G/LTE and work just fine in a cell phone.
When inserting into my tp-link router, the software tells me "no sim card".
I've done a reset a couple of times, alas to no avail.
The question is whether the card reader is defective?
No way of knowing for sure, is there?
Or is the the nano format of my sim cards responsible?
But that should work according to the manual.
Would it make sense to just renew the firmware?
Thanks for help

Hi, MR6400 V4 SIM card slot should be Micro SIM slot, when you insert your Nano SIM card, did you use a Nano to Micro SIM card adapter?
Please make sure the SIM card size is correct and SIM card is inserted properly, then try to reboot the router while the SIM card in.
If there is still any problem, please share with us screenshots of Advanced->Status page and also the system log.

@Sunshine Thanks Sunshine,
Of course I inserted my nano sim properly with adapter (tried 2 different ones).
In fact, it is not that easy to do the wrong way.
But I think we can close this discussion.
Today I gave my router away to somebody who is going to use it as an additional wlan router.
I will buy a new one (probably the Archer MR600 4G+ model)
Best regards everybody & thanks again

That this tp-link router supports GSM The card that comes from my ISP doesn't work on my cellphone, so looks lile it's not GSM.. Does that mean there is no solution
