Model: Deco M4 (PHPLDT)

Hi,

I currently have a Deco network with 3 M4 nodes (1 main 2 satellites), where two of them are V3 and one is V2.

I was trying to solve the IOS wifi weak security warning by upgrading the firmware on my M4 V2 deco from "1.1.9 Build 20200119 Rel. 75362" to "M4R 2.0_en_1.4.3 Build 20200918 Rel. 74289_US_EU_AU_JP_up" but after uploading the bin file to the deco manually thru the web UI,  the upgrade fails with the following message "Upgrade failed. Please select the latest version of firmware to upgrade".

Any leads from anyone who has experienced or solved the same issue, especially those from the Philippines? Thank you!

@Dagoy Multiple things to keep in mind here:

  • The latest firmware for M4 (V2) is 1.5.5. For V3 it's 1.5.1 afaik.
  • You need to update the V2 model and V3 models separately via web ui.
  • However, it looks like your current firmware is a custom one (from your ISP or the company you bought the M4 from). If that's the case, then you need to contact them for the latest firmware.
Just a M4 (2-pack) user who regrets buying it
