Hello,

I bought a MR200 AC750 a week or so back.

Tried the sim card I have, and pretty poor so I thought it was probably the distance to the mast and it matched what I got on my phone while doing a speed test.

A friend was on EE and came round to see what speeds he got.

On his phone he could get around 60Mbps and using his EE router was getting about the same.

I excitedly tried his EE sim in the MR200 but got around 10 Mbps

His router doesn't even have external rabbit ears but was still WAY faster.

He had a second EE sim and tried again and got similar results.

When trying both the sims in the EE router and the MR200, we both connected using our phone via WIFI and did speedtests with similar results.

Would anyone know of any reasons that the MR200 is so slow in comparison to the EE router.

Roaming is switched on on the advanced settings using the web interface.

Nothing else I have tried makes any difference, as far as I can tell.

Any help would be much appreciated before I send the MR200 back!

  @FlourPower

Hi, for low LTE speed, please refer to the instruction in the link below for troubleshooting:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2843/

Please note that the MR200 is an LTE Cat4 product, which doesn't support 4G+, most smartphones now support much higher LTE categories or even 5G, since your friend tested on EE router as well, if possible, please confirm the model no. of the EE router and check whether it uses 4G+ actually.
