Hello, I just wanted to ask if the driver installation on the archer t4u v3 needed an Internet connection

If you are talking about automatic driver installation via Windows Update, then yes, you would need to have an active Internet connection for the driver to be installed. (though I am not sure if the driver for the T4U is actually available via Windows Update)

 

If your T4U came with a driver CD, then you don't need an Internet connection, but your computer will of course need to have a CD/DVD drive.

 

If your computer neither has an Internet connection nor a CD/DVD drive, then perhaps you can ask another person to copy the driver from the CD to an USB thumb drive or download the driver from www.tp-link.com and copy it to an USB thumb drive, from which you can then install it on your computer.
