Hello everyone!

I do have a problem with my RE650. I use it as my single point of contact for all of my WiFi devices. It is conected to the router via LAN.

My specific problem is that the 2,4 GHz net stops working after roughly 7 days (always Fridays :-) ). I still have an internet connection and I can connect with my devices to that specific net. But the internet connection is actualy not usable. The 5 GHz net works still great.
To solve the problem I have to disable the 2,4 GHz net and reenable it again or reboot the AP. The AP runs usualy 24/7.

Does someone else the same problem?

Cheers!

  @Viking77

Hi, your RE650 is working on AP mode, right?

May I know the LED status on the RE650 when the 2.4G WiFi stops working? and if you connect directly to your router's 2.4G WiFi, is it always working fine?

Besides, when it happens next time, please check the IP address and default gateway on the 2.4G client device, you could refer to this instruction to check IP address:

How to find IP address on your devices

Note: please let us know your router's LAN IP address as well.

In addition, please make sure the RE650 WiFi name is different from your router, and 2.4G name is also different from 5G so that you could easily tell which is which.

  @Sunshine Hi and thanks for your reply.

Yes, it's working in AP mode. All LED's are on.

I didn't try to connect directly to routers WiFi. I have to turn it one first. But I can try that. It could take some time cause it happens not very often.

I gave the AP a fix IP address and most of the other clients get their IP addresses via DHCP. I've set this up in the routers network menu. The AP's DHCP option is off.

The names of the 2,4 and 5 GHz nets are different.

I hope that helps a bit.

Thanks
