Model: RE330
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.11 Build 220805 Rel.55827n (6985/8575)

I followed the link on this page - https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/3582/

To check which range extender would be compatible with EasyMesh. I've bought 3 of the above extenders with the hope I could set up an easymesh network. They don't seem to have the option to enable Easymesh in the Tether App. The firmware says it's up to date? Is there anything I can do?

I'm using a Technicolor DGA0122 Software Version 19.4, anyway of making that compatible with OneMesh? TIA

Hi, except for the EasyMesh extenders, do you have any EasyMesh router?

I searched online about Technicolor DGA0122, but cannot find any information about Mesh on that product, please note that to build an EasyMesh network, the main router needs to support EasyMesh as well, for more information about EasyMesh, please refer to:

  @Sunshine I have the dga0122 supplied by DaisyCommunciations - by default it has EasyMesh enabled instead of WPA.

dga0122 admin menu

dga0122_easymesh_info

Technicolor have no info on setting up, and I cannot get beyond this point.
Pressing the WPA button on the router and then the same on the RE550 appears to provide partial success, but it never seems to complete.
I have upgraded the RE550 to firmware latest RE550_V1_230213 and performed a factory reset.

The RE550 seems to have configured Range Extender Mode with _EXT and _5GEXT SSIDs available instead of MESHing the original SSID.

Not sure if there's a mismatch in EasyMesh version, or one or the other devices doesn't support the certification correctly.

Same problem.

Bought the re330 range extender and there was no option to activate EasyMesh. Manual update done (the search did not give any updates available but on the site there are 2 successive ones!!) and the option to activate the EasyMesh technology appeared (visible only from the web browser and not from the android app...).
My modem router is EasyMesh (Archer VX1810v, same brand as the extender!) but if I search to match an EasyMesh device it doesn't find the RE330.
TPLink, as always, proves to be careless and with unclear instructions. Luckily I bought from Amz and will be returning this junk.

Hi,

Apparently only "TP-Link EasyMesh and OneMesh routers" can be added via the "Search" feature.

TP-Link EasyMesh extenders have to be added via the WPS button procedure. Below are the instructions my TP-Link Archer C64 router shows me for how to add a TP-Link Range Extender.

  @woozle

Procedure done and redone a thousand times. I've made every possible attempt. Both from web browser and app. In addition of course to all the attempts made with the WPS button alone. I've read the manual of both the modem/router and the repeater: not a word spent on the Easymesh setting. I find myself asking you that, "apparently", from experience and evidence, perhaps you are looking for a solution. We should do this: instead of paying with real money, we pay with apparently real money, then depending on how the product is doing, we'll give away a little or a lot of real money. my home network deserves something more serious, I go back to Fritz who have never given me problems.

EDIT: this is official "tutorial" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsnYVUUd0DA

Don't work with RE330.

If I use the WPS procedure RE330 generate networks with _EXT extension. There is no way to create an EasyMesh mesh network.

If none of the methods works, then there is clearly a bug in the firmware of either the Archer VX1810v or the RE330.

By the way, if you select "Quick Setup" on the RE330 and then check the list of discovered Wi-Fi networks, does the VX1810v show up with an "EasyMesh" label (like ID 1 and 2) or without (like ID 3 and 4)?

  @MarcJ123

after another thousand attempts I found the problem.

I don't know if it's a bug or something.

The range extender does not connect in mesh mode if band sterring function for wireless networks is enabled in the modem/router.

An absurdity, if you think that we are talking about a mesh system which, at the base, should have at least this function.
If I set the two wireless networks separately (2.4 and 5) the Range Extenders pair in mesh mode by two easy steps:

-  pressing wps on the modem/router;

- immediately press WPS on RE330 (within 2 minutes)

By doing so, you will see the XXXXX_EXT and XXXXXX_5G_EXT networks disappear and have only two ssid (but separately).

Hi, I don't see the "EasyMesh" labels in the VX1810v networks, I'll send screenshots as soon as I can.

 Can anyone tell me if it is correct that the RE works only if the ssids are divided into a network by band (one for 2,4 and one for 5)?

Is it not possible to use the RE in EasyMesh mode with a single network SSID that is 2,4 and 5 together?
