Deco X50 5G - Red light issue
Hello, I am using Deco X50-5G as a main modem.
Every day, a few times, a solid red light appears on the modem and it needs to be reset (I re-plug the power cable). My ISP confirmed that there is no issue in the 5G signal.
Could there be something wrong with the Deco modem? It's very annoying..

I also have this problem on the Deco X50-5G. The internet drops around three times a day. I've tried 5G and 4G only (Firmware version 1.1.1)

Hello All,
I have been advised to test this new beta firmware by support this morning:
https://static.tp-link.com/upload/beta/2023/202311/20231107/x50-5g-SP1-up-ver1-1-0-P1%5B20231016-rel82640%5D_more_stable.zip
Unzip the files and read the doc.
I have not tried it yet but worth a shot I think.
Momo
I will give it a try in the next few days.

I had a problem with an X50-5G which I had setup for someone else. When first setup it worked perfectly, very good speeds. However, I then moved it to a new location on power up it went red. I managed to fix it after a while by changing it to 4G only, then it worked perfectly for a couple of weeks.
Yesterday I had a play again. Switching to 5G initially worked, then rebooting it failed again. In the end I think I finally fixed it by changing the Carrier from Auto to O2, the same as Mobile ISP. After changing this setting I rebooted several times and it always connected to 5G.
Not sure of the logic between "Mobile ISP" and "Carrier". I guess on 4G it was always connecting to O2, but maybe on 5G it was connecting to another carrier?? I had roaming switched off.

Happens to my Deco X50-4G everyday too. Have to reboot so often daily. Remained unfixed for so long that you better don't put too much hope on TP-Link to provide bug fixes or feature updates. Gave up on them by now.

Hello,
I have exactly the same issue with the Deco 5G.
Prior to buy this model, I had a MR600 which ran perfectly for months without any issue/reboot.
I invested hundreds of euros for the Deco 5G model and it keeps disconnecting once a day for no reason...
Before that I had a Huawei cpo pro 2 with the same issue.
Is there any globally problem with using 5G with a routeur 5G ?
(Using Orange in France)
Thanks.
