Will there be WPA3 support for the Deco m9 plus
Will there at some point be a firmware update to allow WPA3?

I cannot find it now, but did read a post somewhere ages ago that stated WPA3 will be only available on WiFi6 grade or newer devices, given the M9 is AC (WiFi5) then this is unlikely to get a firmware update for WPA3.
To the best of my knowledge, none of the WiFi5 devices have WPA3 support
However I dont speak for TP Link so who knows :)

I can't see any technical reasons that stops TP-Link from adding WPA3 to the Wifi 5 Deco-series.
Our older Eero Pro 2nd Gen (Wifi 5) mesh system has WPA3-support and I've had Asus routers with WIfi 5 that supports WPA3, so if TP-Link wants to add WPA3 they can but they probably won't since they haven't done for the M9 Plus yet.

@andrenb It depends on the hardware & the manufacturer. If the hardware is capable of handling WPA3, it'll receive support for it via firmware update. All the older Eero pro routers got WPA3 support this way.
Also, WPA3 was introduced in 2018, but it didn't become mandatory until July 1, 2020. So manufacturer can choose NOT TO add support for it to devices which became certified before that that date.
