AX55 doesn't connect trought LAN
Hi there,
I have installed the AX55 and can make connection trough Wifi with the internet.
This works on smartphone and laptop.
However, when wired one one of the LAN ports, there is no connection.
Tha LAN is set to BRIDGE and all four ports to INTERNET.
DHCP is activated, but no connections at all.
Can anyone please explain if there are more settings to make?

Hi,
First you should check if the router detects any wired connection at all.
Log into the router's web managemant page using an Internet browser. After login you should see the Network Map. Click on the pictogram that looks like a router and is labelled "Archer AX55". Scroll down and check whether the LAN port into which you've plugged the cable is shown as active (blueish color). If it is, then click on the pictogram that is labelled "Clients". Now check if any of the connected clients is shown as connected via Ethernet (there should be either a pictogram of an Ethernet port or somethig that says [LAN]). Often, but not always, will the connected devices have a name associated with them.
Next you might want to double-check that the Network card of the device you are trying to connect to the router hasn't somehow been configured with a static IP address that is in another subnet.

Hi there,
Thanks for your reply.
When I connect a LAN cable to one of the ports, the Icon turns blue.
With a second cable connected and a refresh, this one also changes colour.
When looking at tha Clients tap, only Wifi connections are shown.
The Trough cable tap shows Zero connections.

Have you also verified that the network adapter of the client device (laptop or whatever) is set to obtain an IP address and DNS server address automatically?
Can you see no changes at all in the "Clients" menu when you plug and unplug the Ethernet cables?

Hello again,
Thanks for your reply, I have discovered the problem.
Access control was switched on and blocked all connections.
When turned off, everything detects and works like it should be.
Another question:
A smartphone automatically connects to the Wifi of the router.
When the Wifi is hidden, does it still connects automatically then?
This didn't seem to work the first time but we haven't done more attempts yet.
