Hi, USSD function is working on 3G/2G network only, so it is normal that the router falls back to 3G when you use USSD function.

Normally when you stop using the USSD function, it will switch back to 4G LTE network, so please do make sure the USSD commands has been stopped, and you could also go to Status page and refresh it, if it still works on 3G network only, please wait for about 5 minutes, then save a system log file on Advanced->System Tools->System Log page.

In addition, may I know who your ISP is? and please also double-check the hardware version of your MR6400 on its bottom label, is it V5.0, V5.20 or V5.30?
