I'm going to choose a router from TP-Link, but I don't know if I should order the MR500 or MR600.

I can't see any significant differences between the two, exept the size of the SIM card and the date of release (The MR500 was released in April 2022, the MR600 already in May 2019!!!)

The price is also almost identical.

Am I missing something? What's the difference between both?

Thank you...

Hi, MR600 V1 was released in 2019 but the latest hardware version for MR600 is V3, different hardware versions of the same model might have some differences as well, for example, MR600 V2 has Micro SIM card slot, while MR600 V3 is Nano SIM card slot, if you would like specific hardware version, it is recommended to confirm the seller in advance.

In addition, compared with MR500(EU) V1, MR600(EU) V3 added support of IPSec VPN function.

@Sunshine Thank you for your answer. So it doesn't matter to the normal user whether you take the MR 500 or MR 600 (V2 or V3)? Ok, thanks, good to know. But still wonder why TP-Link has two almost identical models on the market :-)  :-)

If you would like to get internet access only, no need to use VPN etc., it doesn't matter to choose MR500 or MR600.

As far as I know, chip manufacturer might be different even though the specification is similar for different models.
