May I know the model number and hardware version of your TP-Link Router?

And what is the brand and model number of your 5G USB dongle? If you plug it into a Windows computer, is the internet working fine?

I have not purchased the router, just trying to find out.

I think the same would apply to all Dual Band Routers with a USB port.

Perhaps I will take a chance and just buy it.

Hi,

Note that only some specific router models support 3G/4G USB dongles at all.

Whether any of these models would support a 5G USB dongle is unlikely.

Besides, currently there aren't really any 5G USB dongles available on the market to choose from. A quick search with Google yielded only one result to me. The "Acer Connect D5", which carries a footnote saying "Requires Type-C connection that supports power delivery of 5V 3A ...". No Wi-Fi router with USB Type-A port would be able to supply 3 Amps!
