TL-MR6400 OpenVPN not working
Enabling OpenVPN (Advanced, VPN, OpenVPN, Enable VPN Server, Save) does not start the OpenVPN service.
I.e. when looking up the ports in the router, the 1194 is not showing up.
I am using a DDNS (NO-IP) which is working fine (tested).
Also, when testing the PPTP VPN service the port 1723 shows up.

Hi, are you using UDP or TCP for the OpenVPN, no matter which one you've tried, please try another one as well.
In addition, please confirm if the Internet IPv4 address on Advanced->Status page is the same as your public IP address.

@Sunshine thank you for answering!
This happens no matter of the protocol: both by using UDP or TCP for the OpenVPN.
It really is the service that doesn't start.
I do confirm as well that the Internet IPv4 address on Advanced->Status page differs from my public IP address (which is assigned dynamically through the DDNS)

Internet IP on the router differs from your public IP, which means you are behind a CGNAT, in that case, OpenVPN Server will not work remotely, same for the PPTP VPN Server, you'd better check again if you are really able to connect your PPTP VPN Server remotely.

@QRene thank you for the clarification, I will check the CGNAT boundary with my ISP.
Nevertheless, when I do my port scanning I do it from within my LAN.
In that case PPTP shows an open port (1723), while OpenVPN does not (1194).
Hence this seems to be a problem with the OpenVPN service of the router.
Any ideas how to fix it?
