Archer C80 v1&v2.2, Archer A8 V1 and Archer C6 v4 with firmware version 1.13.1 Build 230609

 

Issue Description

After updating the firmware to the latest version, 1.13.1 Build 230609, certain customers may experience the following issues:

1) Remote login via the Tether App becomes unavailable, while local management still functions properly.

This issue is typically characterized by Tether failing to load or displaying error messages such as "Session Timed Out" or "An error occurred. Please try again later."

2) The client list on the router's Web GUI or Tether App may appear empty or display incorrect information. 

 

Available Solution

To address those problems, if your router is Archer C80 V1, please update the latest official firmware:

For Archer C80 v1: Archer C80_V1_1.13.2 Build 230824 (Official Firmware)

 

For other models, we will release a new firmware soon, please pay attention to the new firmware update via your router Web GUI or TP-Link official website.

However, if it is urgent for you to solve the problem and cannot wait for the official firmware release, you could install the following beta firmware first: 

For Archer C80 v2.2, C6 v4: Archer_C80v2.2/C6v4_20230825

For Archer A8 V1: Archer_A8_V1_20230825

 

If there is any further issue, please let us know the model no., hardware and firmware version of your router along with the detailed problem description.

Does the new beta firmware fixes any other issues and/or adds any new functionality? Do we have a release note with all the details? Thanks.

I updated my 3 C80 routers and recreate the Mesh.

 

When i try to update Zolder ( Attic ) with the Small button it doesn't work.

Using the main button it seems to work.

 

Seems to be a small glitch.

 

Furthermore i couldn't add the Satellites  trough the WEB gui, but had to use the Tether APP instead frown

Unfortunately, i have spent the whole day trying to figure out what is going on with my router, then accidentally saw this thread. I am glad you noticed issues with firmware very fast yes

I can confirm issues you mention on my Archer C6 v4 with latest Firmware. I noticed following problems:

1. Cannot login in tether app and router web interface in the same time - for eg. i am logged to web interface from my laptop, and immediate when i login to tether app web interface log me out, regardless of whether I am logged in locally or through a tp link cloud account.

2. Tether app not updating clients info - tested that whole day :). Web interface gives (in my case) correct number and details of connected clients, but tether app shows outdated number of clients and details (ip addresses) for clients before router reboot. If i try to refresh client list in tether app nothing changes. Only if i reboot router, client list in tether app is refreshed with clients info which dhcp server served after reboot, but immediately client list is stuck with that clients info from after reboot.

Hello, thank you very much for the feedback.
Actually it is normal that the router cannot be accessed via web interface and Tether App at the same time, login on either one will cause the other one logging out.

 

For the client list issue on Tether App, please wait for the new official firmware or try the beta firmware, if there is any further issue, please let us know.

Thanks. 

I did not know that it is not possible to be logged in to both tether and the web at the same time. Before Archer C6 v4 I was using Archer 1200AC, and as far as I remember I could be logged into both at the same time, but I could be wrong. Anyway, thanks for that information. Waiting for the new firmware, but if i have time i will try the beta.
