Hardware Version: V1

Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 20230419 Rel 42054(6985)

I've just purchased a RE700X (hardware v1.0) in Europe, which I think is also known as the AX3000, which I am using as a wireless extender. Firmware version is up-to-date according to the extender: 1.1.3 Build 20230419 Rel 42054(6985)

There seems to be no option to set the wireless channel. In the wireless settings for the "Extended Network", the options are only (for each of 2.4 and 5GHz), Enable/Disable, SSID, Security, and Password. How do I set the wireless channel for this extender?

Hi,

Basically all dual-band wireless extenders only have one radio for the 2.4 GHz band and one radio for the 5 GHz band. Therefore, the channel (frequency) that the extender uses to communicate with the wireless network that is to be extended will also be the channel of the extended wireless network. If the channel used by the main wireless network changes, then the channel of the extended wireless network will follow accordingly.
(and no, it is technically not possible for one radio to switch between two different channels back and forth all the time within nanoseconds)

If you were to use the RE700X in wired "Access Point" Mode, then you would be able to select the wireless channels manually.
