Sometimes my PON router goes down but the lights just go off, it should be a red indicator

Hi, do you mean the Internet LED on the Archer C80 V1 router? here is the Internet LED explanation for router mode:

 

Internet LED off means the physical connection between your PON modem or router and the C80 router is down, even though the Ethernet cable between them is still connected, if the PON Router LAN port is linked down, the actual connection between the two will be down as well, this internet LED of C80 router will be off.

 

However, if the physical connection is still up, just internet access doesn't work, the Internet LED should be orange on.
