2.4Ghz slow after latest firmware update
Hello,
Since I've updated to the latest firmware my 2.4Ghz wifi is a fraction of what its supposed to be. On the other hand the 5Ghz band is fine.
Any help to diagnose this would be much appreciated.

Hi, did you try to change the 2.4G WiFi channel and channel width?
If the problem still exists, please let us know your ISP modem speed, wired speed of the AX6000 Router, 2.4G and 5G Speed of the router for comparison.
Please also check the 2.4G Wireless link speed on your 2.4G client device:

In addition, how many client devices are usually connected to the router? and what are they?

Hey @Sunshine, thanks for jumping on this.
I have indeed changed the WiFi channel and width using an analyzer to find the cleanest channels. I've tried multiple and all have the same performance.
ISP: Community Fibre (1Gbit)
Wired speed: 920Mbps
2.4G speed: ~80Mbps
5G speed: ~770Mbps
Number of devices: ~10 [PC, Laptops, phones, couple IoT devices]
Associated speed 2.4G: 542Mbps (full signal)
The 2.4G speed makes no sense as it was working perfectly fine before the updated firmware and I have changed nothing with regard to devices etc.

@dephreq I have the exact same issue. Latest firmware made wifi terribly slow. This is a TP link issue. TP link - please help.

@Doug_H Also - FYI, after disabling Smart connect on my Archer AX6000, after the latest firmware update, now on 2.4 G only wifi works. When coupled with smart connect speeds are painfully slow. This happened after updating to latest firmware yesterday.

Sorry for the late reply… I also have a very bad performance after updating the firmware as you can see from my own monitoring (image is downlink; uplink is ok and no image is provided. you won't see any difference before/after Nov, 8th with uplink - the date when I updated the firmware):
Firmware: 1.3.2 Build 20230906 rel.52143(4555)
Hardware: Archer AX6000 v1.0
There's no change with QoS en/disabled.
I don'd use "Smart Connect" - there's a SSID for 2,4 GHz and another SSID for 5 GHz WiFi.
Transmit Power is high for both WiFi.
Channel Width is 40/160 MHz for 2,4/5 GHz.
Channel is Auto/36 for 2,4/5 GHz.
Mode is mixed-everything for both WiFi.
MU.MIMO is enabled.
iperf3 within the same SSID from Macbook (WiFi) to Linux Desktop (1GBit-wired) is really fast when both devices are "on the same BSSID: 700, 800 Mbit and more.
There's also a TP-RE700X Range Extender (with EasyMesh enabled) with a current Link Speed at my AX6000: 412Mbps (2.4GHz) 648Mbps (5GHz) (every time I check this both values are around/in this range!):
Firmware: 1.1.4 Build 20230509 Rel. 78185
Hardware: RE700X v1.0
IPS is 1000 Mbit Down and 50 MBit Up.
