Hi, I'd like to know WHY on earth there is a LAN/WAN 1Gbps port, it doesn't seem to be used for anything more as an alternative to the 2.5Gpbs port, I hoped in a backup (or link aggregation) option. But I can't find anything about it.

Simple answer is compatibilty
Some 1GB LAN cards dont play well with 2.5 (multigig) ports and cause all sorts of reliability issues, therefore a traditional 1gb LAN port is your best option. Ideally you should be using the multigig and for most people that will be fine, however should your ISP router / modem not sync well then try the 1gb.
