Omada Hardware Controller_V5.12.9 (Released on Sep 19th, 2023)
Update firmware to 5.12.9, and what happened? You think the omada GUI was slow before, OMG this update made it so slow its virtually useless. Why would TP Link relese a FW update that bogs down the omada GUI? Litteraly after you click on anything in the GUI it now takes 30 seconds or more for it to respond. When first logging into Omada GUI, it takes over 40 seconds for anything to come up. Glad im not making any changes soon, or I would have to dedicate an entire day to get it done with the new FW.
TP Link might want to look into this FW update and see why it has slow down the GUI so much?

Hi All,
The R&D team will try to optimize the slow Safari browser issue in subsequent versions, it will take some time as significant changes will be required. Please keep an eye on the new controller version release (subscribe to this post) for an update.
For the time being, you may refer to the following most to least recommended browser versions to access the Omada dashboard.
Chrome 69+ > Firefox 65+ > Edge 106+ > Safari

It is only slow with Safari and there are multiple posts on the same topic already. Change browser.

Why should I change browser? And if it's needed - why wasn't mentioned in the release notes. C'mon people..

I've had the same problem, and according to the replies, it will be fixed in a subsequent controller version update

@Gblenn I've found the same, the controller has gotten significantly slower since this update. Chrome and Firefox are usable, but still sluggish compared to previous versions

Wifi 6E is also non functional on OC200 V2 using beta 5.12.7 or release 5.12.9 and applies to cloud controller 5.12.60.
This is using the EAP 690e HD as this is the only 6E access point obviouslly

Hi @IamMurphy,
Regarding the WiFi 6E issues you mentioned, since they cover different aspects and don't have much to do with the controller issue in this thread, I'd encourage you click here to start a new thread to elaborate on one issue each time, so that we can stay topic and help you get the answers or solutions quickly, which may also help others who are interested in the topic.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. See you in the forums soon!
