Note that when dealing with Tether there are always two different passwords.
One of them is the password of your TP-Link ID account that you need to enter after you've opened the Tether app for the first time.
The other password is the password of the Archer C6. This is the password that needs to be entered when you tap on the entry "Archer C6" in the My Devices list of the Tether app for the first time.

@woozle archerc6 password is showing incorrect and i am not able to reset. Could you help me on this.

If you can't recall the password of your Archer C6, then you need to reset the whole router to default settings by pressing the small recessed button labelled "RESET" that is located near the Ethernet ports.
Press and hold that button for at least 5 seconds, until you see some distinct response from the router's LED lights.
Note that this will reset all of the router's internal settings, not just the password.

Yes, after the reset the whole configuration of the router will be lost and you have to configure the router again, just like if this was a new router.
