Onestream VR400 setup works in router mode but VR2800 with same ISP settings does not !
Onestream VR400 setup works in router mode but VR2800 with same ISP settings does not !
Just joined Onestream Broadband and they provided a VR400 and it works fine , but I have a VR2800 which I woul like to use
but even though I have switched the router to work in Wireless router mode and put in the providers connection details . The VR2800 will not connect to the ISP !
Any suggestions for troubleshooting to work out why the VR2800 will not connect when the VR400 works fine ?
Thanks in advance , hopefully someone has done this on a Onestream account !

Hi,
Thank you for the excellent help really appreciated. . I don't know from your answer if the need to clone is something you know is related to the onestream service
but I have added the New VR400 MAC address to the VR2800 and tried connecting to the ISP but no luck !
I have checked the credentials are right numerous times and I can see nothing different in the VR400 setup to the VR2800 setup except of course they now differ in the sense that the VR2800 is using the VR400 mac address for the WAN.
There has got to be something different or unique about the onestream router settings but I have searched the web and cannot find anyone who has posted any issues about connecting an alternative router to the onestream service !!.
Any other thoughts on how I can troubleshoot this would really be appreciated. THANKYOU

As can be seen from the first post the OP just switched his VR2800 in wireless router mode (details) and entered the PPPoE username/password.

Troubleshooting network issues can be tricky. Have you double-checked the ISP credentials and ensured they match on the application status VR2800? Also, confirm if the VR2800 is compatible with Onestream's network specifications.

@fourVees Having checked all the supplier setup multiple times I realised my typo.
As usual the the TPlink Vr2800 is serving me well , I remain a supporter of the Tplink products.
Thankyou to all that took time to review.
Thanks

Have you tried updating the firmware on the VR2800? Sometimes a firmware update can resolve compatibility issues. Also, double-check the Futbol Libre Online ISP settings to make sure they are identical to those on the VR400.
