Hi,

What is the client device (name and model) you are trying to connect to the 6 GHz wireless network with? And if it's a computer, what operating system are you running on it?

@woozle U did not get my question right. I mean I am not seeing 6ghz band on the axe300 192.168.0.1 page. I can see 2.5, 5-1 and 5-2, there is no 6ghz band. So obviously no devices in my area can see 6ghz ssid.

Is there some setting I have to do on the router to enable 6ghz band on this axe300?

Oh, I see. So you mean even if you scroll down all the way there is no "6GHz: [  ] Enable" option like shown in the screenshot below?

If this is completely missing from the router's webpage, then there is usually no fix for it. As a last-ditch attempt you could try a "Factory Restore", either via the router's webpage (Advanced > System > Backup&Restore) or by pressing and holding the physical reset button on the router for about 8 seconds, but actually I don't have too much hope it's going to help.

By the way. What region is your AXE300 made for? This can be identified by a label on the underside of the router and also on the retail box. It should read like "Model:Archer AXE300" followed by a region code like US or EU.

@woozle yeap, I'm definitely missing the last section of 6ghz that you have in your screen shot.

It says mine is US and hardware version 1.0. I had previously set it up new from box and system prompted me to update firmware and after I did, it became 1.0.9, but internet connectivity and wifi connectivity were behaving weirdly and connections drops etc. and I reloaded us firmware 1.0.9 again manually and gave it a factory reset and it became stable for the last 12 hrs. But since I gotten this unit till my last factory reset 12 hrs ago, I had not seen any 6ghz band setting in the wireless page. Is mine defective??

I think i somehow found the reason why 6g band is not available. if i use 1.0.9 firmware, i only get 2.5, 5-1 and 5-2 bands. if i use the 1.0.3 firmware, i will get 2.5, 5-1, 5-2 & 6 bands. even when i get 6g band on the router, it is not broadcasting, I tried with 4 latest phones, 2 ipad pro and 2 laptops with ax210 card and none of them see the 6ghz ssid.

i had tried long enough and my conclusion is the axe300 is a piece of good hardware but firmware is just lousy. i bought this unit thru singapore isp and in tplink sg web, this model does not have any firmware download, only us web has these firmeware. its a shame that tplink is not putting effort to make the firmware more stable.
