Model: Archer T4E
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

My archer T4E doesnt detect 5ghz networks. when i disable 2.4ghz connectivity on my router so it excslusively uses 5ghz, the card doesnt even detect the network at all. its only when i return 2.4ghz connectivity that it detects the network. i originally bought this card because my pc's default wifi adapter doesnt have 5ghz connectivity, so to discover that my card (which used to work in connecting to 5ghz) doesnt anymore is very disappointing. i had been noticing very poor speeds over the last few weeks and only now did i realise that it was because this thing doesnt connect to 5ghz. someone help me please, i have downloaded recomennded drivers from another area on the forum and they did not work. i am considering buying a new card which is a shame because i have had this for about a year and it has worked well up until now.

these were the drivers i uploaded: https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202006/20200601/00015960-RTLWlanU_WindowsDriver_1030.38.0712.2019_Drv_3.00.0032.L.zip

Hi,

What you can try is to set the 5 GHz of your Wi-Fi router to operate on channel 36 and then check again if the Archer T4E is able to see it.

If it still can't see the router's 5 GHz Wi-Fi, then there must be something wrong with your Archer T4E.

By the way, the driver for which you posted the link is only for wireless adapters that connect via USB port. For the Archer T4E, which is a PCIe card, you should use the driver from here https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/archer-t4e/ .
