Model: RE200
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.0.23

Hello, I have 2 AC750 RE200 extenders which worked just fine with a seperate SSID from the main router for some time. I've just updated their firmware to ver 1.0.23 and since the update the won't keep their seperate SSIDs. They just "reset" and clone the main router SSID. I've tried factory resets (both from tether app and by pressing the button), I chose different SSIDs name etc. They seem to instantly blink their leds to get the new SSID, then another blink and the revert back to the router SSID. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Then maybe this https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/620150 applies to the RE200 V5 as well.

Since there is no firmware fix for this model available, can you check whether your main router has an (Easy)Mesh ON/OFF switch?

@woozle Many thanks for your input, it solved my problem. I turned off "Mesh Wi-Fi" in my main router and now I can pick a seperate SSID for my extenders.
